To begin with the college started functioning from within the campus of our parent institution pachaiyappa's College Chetpet, Chennai. In the beginning stage the college mainly offered pre-university courses with Arts and Science groups. The first major subject offered by our institution was BA Economics. The functioning of the college then shifted to the present Tamil Nadu Housing Board allotted campus in the year 1971 - 1972. On moving to the new premises the college started offering undergraduate courses in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Undergraduate Course in Commerce was commenced in the year 1984.
