Chennai: In an effort to enhance the transparency of the selection process, the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has decided to mask the identity of the candidates appearing for the oral test, according to a top official.
Henceforth, candidates appearing for the orals will be introduced to the interview boards by alphabet names such as candidate A, B, C, D.....
As a result, the commission is to do away with the earlier process of identifying the candidate by Name, Photograph, Date of Birth.....etc.
This new process along with the existing practice of random shuffling for oral tests will ensure the anonymity of the candidates thereby enhancing transparency at oral test stage, said the Secretary, TNPSC.
