Yes TET is equally applicable to the PG teachers also and who is also supposed to write TRB exam. Once you clear TET exam you will have 5 years time to clear your TRB exam. In case you dont clear your TRB in 5 years after you clear your TET exam then you need reappear again for TET to qualify to write TRB exams.

For information I am providing details below about TET exam for your reference

The state government of Tamil Nadu has announced that it is mandatory for teachers to qualify Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). The test would be mandatory to become a teacher in a school just like the National Eligibility Test or state Level Eligibility Test is mandatory to become lecturers in colleges and universities.

The On guidelines of National Council for Teacher Education, graduate teachers in mathematics, science and social science will have to answer questions for 60 marks in their respective subjects, an official release said.

Since graduate teachers in Tamil and English are appointed separately, they have to the eligibility test will have questions for 60 marks in their respective subjects, it said.

TNTET will have two question papers with objective multiple choice questions. Candidates will have the choice to select any paper based on their qualification and career choice. If you want to become a teacher for classes I-V, then opt for Paper I. If you like to teach for classes VI - VIII, you may be going to appear for Paper II. You can also appear for both the papers if you want to be considered for classes I - VIII.
