JNU administration cautions against fake information- 15-Mar-2019

Chennai: The JNU administration has come out with a press release on not to believe rumors spread across various medium on diverse issues about the institution, including fee  hike in the application form for the JNU entrance test.

The release undersigned by the registrar, JNU clearly states that there is no hike in the application fees.

Next allegation is that JNU has illegally altered the admission process by stopping lateral entry to BA second year programmes. It clarified that decisions were taken after serious deliberation by the Academic Council and Executive council.

The decision to stop lateral entry was to make all admissions uniform in JNU.

Delinking of M.Phil from Phd was carried out on the interest of the students who can directly enroll for Phd after completing MA or MSc.

Another misinformation that is being propagated around is the 80% cut in the library budget as well as the students aren’t getting merit cum means scholarship.

The administration calls all these misinformation as malicious to bring down reputation of the institute.
