Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM) 2023 is being conducted for the admission of eligible students in Master's degree programs offered in top educational institutes across the country including IITs.


JAM 2023 is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. Through this computer-based examination comprising a total of seven papers, over 5000 seats are filled to provide admission to eligible students.

M.Sc.,


MA,


M.Sc.-Technology,


M.Sc.,-M.Tech. Dual degree,


M.S.,-Research


Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D.


This examination determines the eligibility for admission to integrated Ph.D. courses offered at various educational institutions.


Eligibility:


Candidates having successfully completed an undergraduate degree or currently studying in the final year of undergraduate are eligible for admission through JAM 2023. Apart from Indians, foreign students having Indian degrees too can take-up this exam.  There is no upper age limit.


Educational Institutions:


JAM 2023 scores are also used by JNCASR, IIPE, IISc, IISER Bhopal, IISER Pune for admission to postgraduate programmes.


Exam Papers:


Questions will be asked from Biotechnology, Geology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, and Mathematical Statistics.


There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The entire paper will be divided into three sections, A, B and C. All sections are compulsory.


Examination Centers:


Examination centers are set up in more than 100 locations including all major cities of the country. Specifically in Tamil Nadu, this exam is conducted in the cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Trichy and Tirunelveli.
