Astronomy is a natural science that deals with celestial objects and phenomena. It applies principles of mathematics, physics, and chemistry, in an effort to explain the origin of celestial objects and phenomena and their evolution.

Objects of interest include planets, moons, stars, galaxies, and comets.

Astronomy is one of the oldest of the natural sciences.

Graduation in this study not only facilitates in getting job opportunities in India, it also opens up to opportunities to jobs in foreign countries.

It could be rightly said that the study of the celestial bodies is highly popular one that has gradually evolved to blend with the latest technology to be called as Astronomy.

Job opportunities:  For those having completed degree in Astronomy stand a good chance to make into Indian Astronomical Research Centre, ISRO and research organizations in the government sector as wells as in Private sector too.  Similarly it is also possible to get jobs in Central govt nuclear science centres as well as Mathemetics department.
