Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi
IIT Mandi is one of the eight new IITs proposed by the MHRD, Government of India. The government has already identified land in Mandi district for setting up of the IIT. The central government has decided that, IIT Mandi in Himachal Pradesh will start functioning from 2009 academic session. IIT Roorkee will be mentoring this IIT. For the 2009-'10 academic year, IIT Mandi will function from the IIT Roorkee campus.
