Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar is located in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India. There were eight new IITs which were proposed to be founded in 2008, and IIT Bhubaneswar is the first launched among them. Started its operation in 2008, the institute offers wide range of engineering education at undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and research levels. As for now, the permanent campus has started to operate on a land of 935 acres. The campus can support big capacity of students, making it the second largest IIT of all after IIT Kharagpur.
