Eligibility Criteria The candidate should
  • be admitted to M.Tech or Ph.D programmes in any of the Institutes or Universities listed in Annexure -I
  • have a minimum valid GATE score of 75 percentile. (Where the GATE system is not followed, the candidates should have aminimum of 60% marks (in aggregate) at the B.Tech/M.Sc level
Fellowship Details
Duration M.Tech - 2 years, Ph.D - 2 years (JRF) + 3 years (SRF)
Value M.Tech - Rs.5000 pm (JRF), Rs.7000 pm (SRF)
Contingency Grant M.Tech - Rs.5000 pa
Ph.D - Rs.10000 pa
Application Procedure
  • Applications in the prescribed format downloadable at http://mnes.nic.in/fellow.htm should be submitted
  • Applications for Ph.D fellowships should be accompained by a 2-page research proposal/plan in Renewablw Energy or related area clearly indicating the objectives/goald and expected outcome, and its utility to the Renewablww Energy sector and the respective Departments/Centres of the concerned Institutions admitting them
Selection Procedure Selections are made by a National Committee constituted for the NRF Fellowships by the Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources
Notification and Deadline Twice a year by the concerned Institutes/Universities
