Chennai: In a bid to reform appointment of teachers in schools, the Tamilnadu govt. has ordered to conduct written exam(Teachers eligibility test-TET) and certificate verification for appointing PG teachers.
According to the GO released by school education dept. secretary Sridhar: "Untill now, PG teachers were appointed through seniority, based on employment registration.>
Now, the govt. has decided to appoint PG assistants through writing test and scrutinizing their certificates similar to the selection process of primary teachers and secondary grade teachers".>
Earlier, the state government had announced the appointment details of primary teachers and secondary grade teachers.>
This order, resolves the confusion that prevailed over the appointment of PG teachers. Shortly, 1500 new PG teachers are expected to be appointed through this new system.>>
