Biggest problem with todays youngsters is lack of self-confidence. Nearly 75% of the students opt for studies that are liked by their parents. Do not select studies or course of personal choice. Need to possess self- confidence that they would excel in the course of their choice.
It is important to have a clear objective to select a particular course to study. Further, it is also essential to possess sound knowledge on the type of course to select. Dont confuse yourself until the last minute of selections; instead have a clear plan right from class VIII itself, depending upon the choice of interest.
Are marks alone sufficient?: College admission should not be just based on marks, instead should be based on diverse factors of the student.
Subsequently, everyone has the desire to score high marks only. How many students who had obtained state ranks have accomplished great things in life? Is just listening to the teachers class quietly the right education?
Practical learning is needed: Parents should not unnecessarily pressurize children with class room education and home works. Education system by getting high marks through memorization has changed the entire meaning of the process called Learning. Todays state is that those who have completed M.Com too do not know how to fill up a bank challan.
Education must be based more on interactive mode rather than one-sided affair. Indian education system should move towards practical learning.
Todays students need to have profound knowledge and understanding of every subject. Students need to become personalities with innovative skills.
Only then, our youths, instead being a job seeker, will become job provider.
